Position Description – Tesla

• Join a team of software engineers building internal tools for managing the design, permitting, and installation of Tesla energy systems.
• Develop scalable platforms supporting all current and future Tesla Energy and Vehicle products.
• Enable Tesla employees to track, automate, and optimize the full lifecycle of energy installation jobs.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain applications and systems within the team’s scope.
• Write clean, maintainable, performant, and well-tested code for new features and bug fixes.
• Create unit and integration tests, and collaborate with QA for timely regressions.
• Monitor system metrics, handle alerts, and troubleshoot production issues.
• Analyze current systems and recommend technical enhancements.
• Work with Product, Design, and Business teams to prioritize feature development.
• Communicate promptly about project timelines, dependencies, and blockers.
• Own feature development from design to production release.
• Improve application scalability, maintainability, and reliability.
• Document new technologies and implemented functionalities.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Strong understanding of web technologies: HTTP, REST, AJAX, and JSON.
• Proficient in HTML, CSS, JavaScript / ES6, DOM manipulation, and JS object model.
• Solid grasp of SQL database concepts and experience with querying and updating data.
• Deep understanding of RESTful API development and best practices.
• Expertise in Angular core design principles and design patterns.
• Experience with front-end tools like Vite, NPM, Yarn, etc.
• Experience with GraphQL is a strong advantage.
