About The Position

This role is for recent university graduates in software engineering, one of five job families within Information Technology. Responsibilities include:

  • Providing technical expertise in business case development, analysis, workflows, and requirements to implement or improve IT solutions.
  • Developing, testing, deploying, administering, configuring, operating, and supporting the lifecycle of software systems and environments.

We seek motivated individuals to deliver innovative digital solutions through design, development, deployment, and support. You will work on key projects and digital innovation initiatives, following agile principles and collaborating with product teams to develop reusable software components and services.

Responsibilities

  • Develop digital solutions according to best practices, ensuring modularity, scalability, observability, and integration.
  • Engage in web application development, system design, and security development.
  • Hands-on coding to deliver functional, innovative software solutions.
  • Utilize CI/CD tooling for software deployment and iterative development.
  • Design and develop data integration and management tools.
  • Maintain knowledge of the latest tools for continuous integration, unit tests, profiling, code analysis, and automated testing.
  • Collaborate with global teams across time zones and support application/solutions.
  • Integrate existing solutions with enterprise ecosystems (e.g., API development, Azure Data Factory).
  • Deploy, configure, support, and enhance vendor software packages.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, MIS, Electrical Engineering, Petroleum Engineering, or related fields (or equivalent experience).
  • Currently enrolled in a four-year college/university as a senior or graduate student expecting to graduate by July 2025 OR recent graduates with less than two years of experience.
  • Provide a current, unofficial transcript with the online resume.
  • Experience with programming languages and tools such as C#, C++, Angular, Node.js, SQL, Ansible, R, Java, Python.
  • Familiarity with Gitflow and source control management methodologies.
  • Understanding of the software development lifecycle (plan, design, develop, test, release, maintain, and support).
  • Hands-on experience with Azure Cloud, ServiceNow, Ansible, and Azure DevOps (preferred).
  • Experience working in agile teams using SAFe, Scrum, Kanban methodologies (preferred).
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills (preferred).
  • Demonstrated skills in business negotiation, conflict resolution, and technical problem-solving (preferred).
  • Legal authorization to work in India as a citizen or Overseas Citizen of India (OCI).
  • No visa sponsorship required for employment in India.

Location

Chevron is accepting online applications for this position based in Bengaluru, India. The candidate will be hired on the local Indian payroll.
