The Role

• Join our Tech & Product Team as a Frontend Engineer (UI Specialist) in the B2C squad, focusing on delivering beautiful, fast, and accessible experiences for student members.
• Craft elegant, modern, and consistent interfaces, identifying and improving clunky modals, inaccessible forms, or unrefined hover states.
• Work with a frontend stack based on React, TypeScript, and Tailwind CSS while experimenting with modern UI patterns across our products.
• Contribute to both UK and German platforms, with greenfield opportunities and new product work that you’ll help shape visually and functionally.

What You Can Expect in Your First Six Months

• Collaborate closely with engineers, designers, and product managers to turn bold ideas into elegant, performant UIs.
• Take ownership of UI quality across platforms, enhancing consistency, accessibility, and visual fidelity.
• Develop new frontend components and UX improvements aligned with the design system, even for net-new ideas.
• Define and enforce frontend best practices in styling, layout, responsiveness, and accessibility.
• Stay updated with emerging frontend techniques and libraries, bringing inspiration and experimentation into the team.

Does This Sound Like You?

• Strong hands-on experience using React, TypeScript, and CSS to build polished user interfaces.
• Sharp eye for UI design details and a passion for creating interfaces that are both beautiful and usable.
• Comfortable working closely with designers and bridging the gaps between high-level designs and final implementation.
• Experience building production-grade applications and scalable frontend systems.
• Familiarity with modern tooling (e.g., Vite, Webpack, PostCSS) while focusing more on outcomes than configuration.
