The role of Applications Development Programmer Analyst is at an intermediate level, responsible for actively participating in the establishment and implementation of new or updated application systems and programs in collaboration with the Technology team. The primary objective of this position is to contribute to the analysis and programming activities of applications systems.
Responsibilities:- Apply expertise in applications development procedures and concepts.
- Write high-quality code based on functional requirements, ensuring adherence to implementation deadlines.
- Contribute to concept models, system architectures, and design.
- Build, deploy, and test application components in a development environment across all layers of the application stack.
- Work proactively and independently to address project requirements, identifying and communicating issues/challenges in advance to mitigate project delivery risks.
- Provide technical analysis expertise and troubleshoot technical issues during project delivery.
- Handle component design, coding, unit testing, and debugging.
- Have a basic understanding of other technical areas to identify and define necessary system enhancements.
- Analyze and identify issues, make recommendations, and implement effective solutions.
- Leverage knowledge of business processes, system processes, and industry standards to resolve complex problems.
- Develop a comprehensive understanding of Citi's information systems, procedures, standards, client-server application development, network operations, database administration, systems administration, data center operations, and PC-based applications.
- 0-7 years of relevant experience.
- Experience in programming and debugging for business applications.
- Working knowledge of industry practices and standards.
- Thorough knowledge of specific business areas related to application development.
- Familiarity with various programming languages.
